Pasifika groups first session

Spelling city

Today we started using a new spelling website called spelling city. The children have their own username and password and are playing spelling games and we can even test ourselves on the list of words we are working on! The great thing is that you can use the site at home too. Just go to www.spellingcity.com/hornby/

Our final clue from the Mission Leader and the end of Terrorsum!

This morning we were so happy to see children learning before the bell had even rung! William, Abbagale and Zayd practising their maths on mathletics. Faith working on her reading slide show.

Today we learnt how to make videos using capture!

A great effort for our first time!  these videos were made in 20 minutes!  What do you think we could do better?

Thank you Couplands!

Thank you Couplands for giving us a full loaf of yummy bread. Everyone in the school got their own loaf to take home. We really appreciate it.

Positive communication

Today the Year 4s were playing a game to practise positive communication by giving clear instructions to their team mates in their attempts to throw a ball into a hoop. The tricky part was they couldn't see the hoop!

We did pretty well with a score of 40 for the session. Good work!
