Why do people play sport?
Mr Rule has been working with the Year 4s on our Game on topic. Here are some of their ideas about why people play sport.
Fun afternoon
As a thank you to everyone who has been following our school expectations we have a fun afternoon. Today children choose from indoor games, iPads, Chromebooks, art, disco and bull rush. It was especially great to see so many children participating this term. Keep an eye out for another fun day later in the term.

Using Equipment in Maths - Awesome Hayden!
What Maths looks like in Ako Ngatahi.
Did maths look like this when you were at School? (Parent/ Caregivers)
As you can see pen and paper are still important part of learning in maths and they can work nicely with our digital technologies.
Collaboration!
Collaboration is a key part of our learning in Ako Ngatahi. The children are encouraged to work with others to discuss their learning (Learning Conversations). But children also can work independently depending on what the task involves. We are all teachers and learners in Ako Ngatahi and it makes us feel awesome when we can teach others how to do something. As you can see pen and paper are still important part of learning in maths and they can work nicely with our digital technologies.
Bungy Jumping Acrostic Poems
Bungy Jumping Acrostic Poem
Unbelievable.
Nervous.
Great.
You're not gonna die.
Jelly belly.
Up then down.
May the fun begin.
Play.
Inside and out.
Never be afraid.
Go and be brave.

Beautiful view
Up in the sky
Not talking
Go down
You're not gonna die
Jelly belly
Uncomfortable
Mumbling
Purple sick face
Ill feeling
Not looking
Gross felling
Up in the sky
Not talking
Go down
You're not gonna die
Jelly belly
Uncomfortable
Mumbling
Purple sick face
Ill feeling
Not looking
Gross felling

Christchurch City Gap Fillers
MY ANIMAL GAP FILLER IDEA.
For my gap filler I am going to have a place where you can pat animals and look at them and a space where you can learn facts about animal and they would come from the and maybe you could adopt some animals to. At night they would go back to the SPCA. Some animals will have to go in some cages or some water tanks and if it’s windy or rainy there will be a shelter so no one gets cold and wet.
